What new insights, ideas, or thoughts of my won have been stimulated by this text? Before reading this text I did not realize how much bias was towards men. There were a lot more ways than I thought that men have bias against them. I was shocked to hear the court case when the man was accused of the murder when the woman’s finger prints were at the scene of the crime.
What questions, dilemmas, or problems does this text raise for me? I saw a major problem in the text when the author was talking about how boys have to be men. It is not really as big of a deal as he made it out to be. Another problem I had with the text was that the author used ridiculous extreme quotes from other authors that made the other side look bad. When he used the extreme quotes it actually made him look bad because he had to bash the other side.
What personal memories or experiences does this text trigger? This text triggered numerous amounts of memories. There is an instance nearly every day for me when my manhood is questioned by one of my friends. It is a big part of life for boys but most boys can cope with it well. It made me think a lot o my friends back home and how we used to hang out and try to outdo each other.
